About Rob McCormicks

Rob McCormick established Avatara in 2005, driven to provide small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with cutting-edge, secure, and enterprise-level IT services through a bespoke, internally managed platform. Before this venture, he was the CEO at Savvis from 1999 to 2005, where he led the development of the industry’s first virtualized managed hosting platform. A series of strategic acquisitions characterized his leadership, significant equity raises, and robust business expansion, culminating in one of the largest tech IPOs of the time. Prior to Savvis, Rob was the COO at Bridge Information Systems, from which Savvis was subsequently spun off in 2000.
